TXF INTELLIGENCE (AI)
CONTEXT
CPAs spend 40% of their time chasing paperwork — manual data entry, document collection, and client follow-ups that create a cycle of errors and burnout. TXF Intelligence is Taxfyle’s AI-powered tax filing product built to break that cycle.
WHAT I DID
End-to-end product design. From zero to launch. I created the brand from scratch, defined the visual language, designed the full platform experience, and built a scalable UI system. By deeply understanding how tax firms operate, I identified core friction points and shaped the product around real business needs.
I also animated the product demo in After Effects to bring the vision to life.
Designing an AI product meant deciding things a normal SaaS never asks: what the product shows while the model is still working, how a reviewer sees where a number came from, and what happens when it’s wrong.
THE DECISION
CPAs aren’t afraid of automation. They’re afraid of automation they can’t check. They sign the return. The liability is theirs. Our first version filled out the return and asked for one confirmation at the end. Fastest path, cleanest screen, but it tested badly. Reviewers wouldn’t put their name on work they couldn’t see or verify.
So I traded speed for traceability. After the document is extracted, a CPA from the firm reviews the information before the project moves forward. Every field shows its source document and confidence level, and low-confidence data is flagged for review instead of passing through quietly.
IMPACT
The platform helps firms reduce manual data entry by up to 75%, save around 14 hours per week in prep time, and process returns with 99.8% accuracy — all with a 10-minute setup.
